Child & Student Privacy Notice

1. Our approach

CurriBloom is built for parents and guardians to plan and keep records for the children they educate. Because children’s information deserves extra care, this Notice explains exactly how student information is handled. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

The most important point: children do not have CurriBloom accounts. A student is a profile inside a parent-controlled household. Children do not sign in, receive messages, upload files, or interact with CurriBloom in any way. A parent creates, enters, reviews, and controls all student information.

2. What student information exists

All of it is entered by the parent, and only what the parent chooses to add. It may include:

• A student’s preferred name and an optional grade level or age band (we do not require an exact birth date).
• Curriculum the parent builds — grade levels, terms, courses, and credits.
• Grades, assignments, results, and the parent’s notes.
• Planned activities, schedules, and completion records the parent keeps.
• Files (images or PDFs) the parent chooses to attach as education evidence.

We do not collect location, contacts, biometric data, advertising identifiers, or any information directly from a child.

3. Children’s privacy laws (including COPPA)

CurriBloom is directed to parents and guardians, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Because a parent — not a child — provides and controls all student information, the parent gives and manages any consent for that information within their own household account.

We never use student information to advertise to anyone, we never sell it, and we never allow third-party advertising or tracking technologies to reach it. If you believe a child has somehow provided us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

4. Parental control and rights

You are always in control of your children’s information. At any time you can:

• Review and correct any student record directly in the app.
• Export a student’s records (see the Export instructions).
• Delete an individual record, an entire student profile (which removes that student’s records), or your whole account and household.

We do not require you to keep any student information you no longer want, and we honor deletion promptly through our controlled deletion workflow.

5. Sharing

Student information is stored with the same limited service providers described in our Privacy Policy (database, hosting, and private file storage), only to run the service. It is never emailed, never shared with our payment processor, never used for advertising, and never sold. If you deliberately create a scoped, expiring share link, only the person you give that link to can view what you shared, until it expires or you revoke it.

6. Co-ops, schools, and organizations

If you use CurriBloom as part of a co-op or organization, the adult who owns the household account is responsible for having the right to enter each student’s information and for complying with any laws or agreements that apply to them (for example, school-records laws). Organization arrangements are handled separately; contact us to discuss them.

7. Security

Student information receives the same protections as the rest of your data: encryption in transit, access scoped to your authenticated adult account and enforced at the database with Row-Level Security, private file storage reached only through short-lived links, and household isolation so one family’s data can never reach another. 8. Changes to this Notice

We may update this Notice as the service or the law changes. Material changes will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, be brought to your attention.
